Carolina McCalmon, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant who is dedicated to her team, patients, and her education. Carolina prides herself on her adaptability and her bedside manner. Over the years, Carolina has developed the necessary skills to excel in her career as an oncology physician assistant, including radiological reviews, and chemotherapy administration. Prior to her starting her career with New York Cancer and Blood Specialists, Carolina was employed at Southside Hospital’s inpatient neurosurgery department. She also worked at Baptist-MD Anderson Cancer Center, and at Baptist Neurology Group’s Comprehensive Stroke Center. Carolina earned her Bachelor’s from the University of Tampa, in which she was awarded Student of the year for anatomy and physiology. She then earned her Physician Assistant Master’s from Nova Southeastern University, in which she served as class president and the chapter leader for Global Brigades Medical Missions.
