BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Steve Montana is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology. He has been a practicing medical hematologist/oncology on Long Island, NY since 1998.
Dr. Montana received his Bachelors degree in Biology from Hofstra University in Hempstead before attending The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY where he received his D.O. During this time he also completed a rotating internship at Saint Clare’s Hospital and Medical Center. Following his internship, Dr. Montana completed his Internal Medical Residency at Saint Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center and then continued to Stony Brook University for his fellowship where he participated in basic science cancer research studies. Since then, Dr. Montana has been treating patients on Long Island since 1998 and has been the co-author of three medical publications.
Dr. Montana treats patients at our Port Jefferson and Smithtown offices. Many of his special areas of interest include lung cancer, lymphoma and malignant/nonmalignant hematology.
