Medical Oncology & Hematology
Dr. Varun Modi is a board-certified Hematologist/Oncologist who is deeply committed to providing exceptional care. He received his medical degree from C.U.Shah Medical College and Hospital in Surendranagar, India.
He completed his Residency at Seton Hall University at St. Michael Medical Center, where he served as Associate Chief Resident. Dr. Modi went on to complete his Fellowships at New York Medical College at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, where he was Chief Fellow.
Dr. Modi speaks fluent English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Urdu. In his free time, he enjoys playing Cricket and Volleyball.

"Dr. Modi very professional and informative. His front desk staff very hostile. I asked to have lab worked sent over MSK. I was given a very hard time. I made 3 attempts to have my records sent over the phone. The 4th attempt I went down in person. My records were sent out. One of the staff questioned why I wanted my records sent out while in the phone. When I went to the office in person. She retaliated by making me wait. There was no patients in the area at that time. She stated she was busy. This is after she found out I was the person she spoke to over the phone. I asked since the other ladies were free could they be of help. One agreed to help. Finally I was able to have my lab records sent out. The front desk staff are very selective on who they will assist. At Dr. Modi other office the staff was very professional and respectful. Where he's at now the staff has a gang mentality. One receptionist in particular was breathing hard and making comments under her breath while I was being helped by the other receptionist. One of the receptionist asked her to stop. She got up and walked away. She didn't look like she was of sober mind. Dr. Modi is a great doctor. Staff is rude and disorderly. They try to provoke confrontation. They make you feel uncomfortable and maybe you shouldn't be there. I have equally great insurance as any other patient. If you could stomach the front desk staff you will be fine with Dr. Modi care."
