Social Worker

Randi Padover, LCSW-R, CASAC, is committed to providing a variety of treatment modalities and support to patients and their families during a cancer diagnosis and post-treatment. Randi is trained in EMDR, DBT, and is a certified supervisor in student field instruction. She is also a Certified Zentangle Teacher. She seeks to infuse creative interventions with traditional and evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, so that each individual receives personalized care. Her clinical specialties have included crisis intervention, co-occurring disorders, depression, anxiety, and the treatment of complex trauma.

Prior to joining the New York Cancer and Blood Specialists Team, Randi had been the director of several outpatient treatment programs, including addiction treatment centers, a juvenile residential facility, a care advocate for a managed care company, and has served as an instructor of Clinical Psychiatry for Stony Brook’s School of Medicine, where she created and facilitated the only art based DBT treatment curriculum and program on Long Island. In addition, she is in the process of completing her postgraduate certificate in Veterinary Social Work at the University of Knoxville. Randi is also a freelance community artist and art teacher, with multiple gallery showings and community recognitions of contribution.
